HISTORIC UNITED NATIONS SECURITY COUNCIL
AGENDA: Discussing the East Asian Conflict between the U.S.A and the P.R.C
The Vietnam war was fought as a small south-east Asian conflict since 1955, although after a failed naval invasion by the American forces stationed in the area and some notable pushes across the border in late 1969 it has grown into a far larger East Asian conflict, for once again the Chinese have perceived a western threat on their borders. The war between the PRC and its allies versus the USA and its allies. The world stands on edge as the Soviet Union observes in silence as the Paris Peace Conference fails to reach a resolution. The volatile nature of this conflict is further exposed by the detection of radiation from Hokkaido, Taiwan and Okinawa as well as some still being present in Cuba and Turkey. This is further amplified by the PRC being a nuclear power and the Cuban missile crisis occurring within the same decade
In this H-UNSC committee, delegates will have the opportunity to navigate and progress this crisis and reshape the world while walking a tightrope between the possibility of starting World War 3 or nuclear warfare.
